Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Training

Aspen Medical provides a range of bespoke courses including Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) training, pre-hospital and hospital-based triage and emergency tactical trauma.

Module 1: Awareness

This 1-day course aims at providing awareness for identification and response of Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) events. The attendees will learn levels of personal protection and how to don personal protective equipment as well as assist others. They will also learn how to activate the appropriate emergency response measures.

Module 2: Decontamination

This 2-day course aims at providing attendees with comprehensive competencies in the field of Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) response, through didactic and practical high-fidelity scenario-based training focusing on organisational requirements. This course promotes critical thinking skills while utilising the rapid reaction concepts. The multidisciplinary make-up of the participants helps to strengthen information sharing, communications and medical surge capabilities.

Module 3: Medical Management

This 3-day course imparts an in-depth understanding of dangers involved in CBRNE incidents, the steps involved in safe scene assessment and the components of CBRNE operations. In addition, this course provides the participants with the necessary skills to manage an Incident Command Site and enhance collaboration with additional resources from other agencies. The participants will be provided the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to deliver medical management of potential CBRNE incidents and properly manage casualties of CBRNE exposure.  This course focuses on the pathophysiology of a patient exposed to CBRNE threats and to identify the correct interventions based on the signs and symptoms or known agent.
